Luckily we missed the snow on our way into Evanston today. We were able to visit mom in the library and then I showed Erika around town briefly, including driving past my high school, eths. Then it snowed and snowed and snowed. We persevered though and trudged to lou malnati's with my dad. For those who don't know, lou's is the single greatest pizza place on earth, end of story. It's a bit different because it is Chicago-style, and it acts like a drug for me. Always one I the first things I do when I'm home.
Erika and I also got angry at the health care system in this country while watching michael Moore's Sicko, and France or Norway now have moved to the top of our list as destinations to live. Who could pass up 5 weeks minimum vacation, free healthcare and the louvre?
Tomorrow's activities include:
- visiting a dog park
- going to downtown Chicago
- seeing the Bulls!
