We are preparing to leave tonight. Despite promises to ourselves that we would be packing all week and be all prepared tonight, somehow the procrastinators in both of us got the best of us (who would have thought?). We shall persevere though, and we will be on our way in the morning.
Tasks tonight include:
- Erika packing
- Sam packing
- Cleaning out the trunk of the car
- Giving Marley a bath
- Sleeping
- Praying for warm weather in Michigan/Chicago
- Sam thinking of good things to bring from DC to offer to Governor Blagojevich in hopes of the Senate seat
Marley has absolutely no idea what she is in for in the next two weeks. Meeting multiple dogs and cats, visiting warm and cold climates, and making friends with the back seat.
Destination tomorrow: Kalamazoo, MI, about 600 miles from DC!
